Maria O'Brien

My interest for Latin-American dances began back in 1997 when I was an exchange student in USA. Well back home in Luleå in 1998 I took my first salsa lessions.

I have also been dancing Argentine Tango and preformed with a group at Luleå hembygdgilles spelmansstämma.

I have been taking salsa lessions at Gabbes dance school in Stockholm. When I moves to Lund in 2003 I started to dance for Robin and Lisa and continued taking lessions from Johan and Alexandra in crossbody.

Other teachers I've been taking lessions from is Juan Carlos Ramirez and Orlando Ahumada.

In 2004 did I participate at the salsa congress in Helsingborg among instructors as Susanna Montero, Leon Rose and Super Mario.

I have also participated in a workshop of double salsa for Rasmus.

I have participated at Malmöfestivalen 2004 with a group in which I created the choreography together with the other dancers.
