Nichola Jones

Hi everyone! I’m Nichola from Scotland, 25 years and have lived in Lund for over a year now. I have always been interested in music, dance and theatre. I danced Jazz when I was a teenager and have always had a passion for music and dance. Dancing always makes me happy and gives me so much energy and a way to express myself.
When I came to Sweden in August 2007, I decided to try Lindy Hop and went to some courses. That was so much fun and when my dance partner thought that we should start dancing Salsa I jumped at the chance. We started at Salsa Sabrosa and I loved it straight away.
I am so glad that I have been given this opportunity to share my love for Salsa with others and follow their development and see them have fun. My father just recently got married to a Cuban woman and I long for the opportunity to go and visit him and dance Salsa on the streets of Havana!
In the future, I want to continue to improve my Salsa through dancing as much as possible and I even want to be better in other dances like Samba, Reggaeton, Merengue and Bachata.
