Is it difficult to dance salsa, samba, latin streetdance, reggaeton, African dances?

We practice rhythm and coordination during the course. We start with the basics and explain the steps carefully and how they are taken to the music. Once we´ve learned the basics we move on by explaining how to move the body when we dance. We will also learn about the feeling in the music and how to improvise using what you´ve learned. The dance couples will also learn how to lead and follow so that the connection to each other will run more smoothly while you are dancing

Are there any demand of preknowledge?

You don't need any preknowledge to attend the basic course
To advance to higher levels you should master the level you are in at the moment. We play plenty of music and there is a lot of dancing in couples which means that it doesn´t get dull if you attend the same level twice

What does the courses contain?

Look under Course descriptions in the menu to the left

How long is each course?

One course set is 6 weeks long. We have 2 course sets for each semester. The length of the courses are either 1 or 2 course set long - See Course schedule in the left hand menu

In which cities and on what addresses is the courses held on?

We are located in Lund and Malmö. In Maps & addresses in the menu to the left you will find the different addresses and a useful link to the maps

What age? Children, youths and adults?

Averege age are between 25-30 years of age
People of all ages dance with us between 14-80 years years of age
The course Street Salsa is for children that are between 9-13 years of age

Couples, single or choreography? To register? Mostly girls or guys? Change partner?

* In the salsa courses we dance both in single and in couples. You can register either in single or as a couple (Register in the menu to the left). The distribution of sex varies quite a lot. We change dance partner often according to a system where everybody is dancing with everybody. It´s ok if you want to stay with your partner
* In the samba courses we dance only in single
* In Latin Steetdance you dance in single doing a choreography of different dances
* In the "Street Salsa 9-13 years" - course you dance in single doing a choreography of different dances
* In the reggaeton courses we dance only in single
* In the African dance courses we also only dance in single
* You can sign up by Contact in the left menu or use the registration formula (see Register in the left menu). We need your name, phone number, email, address, zip code, city and year-of-birth (for instance: 1975)

What type of clothes and shoes?

The best thing to wear is ordinary comfortable clothes such as jeans/tights and a t-shirt. The shoes have to be clean indoor shoes that don´t leave black marks on the floor. It is important to have comfortable shoes, sneakers for example

Clean clothes, chewing gum and long nails?

Some things to think about to show consideration to the one you dance with:
* Clothes - if possible use newly washed clothes
* Chewing gum- gives a better sence of breath. Mouth spray or similar gives the same result
* Nails - nails that are trimmed and short produce a lesser chance to scrath the one you dance with. Given that it is the man who leads, there is a greater risk that it is the man who scratches the woman than vice versa

Course material? Dance nights? Parties?

In the left menu you will find:
* Course descriptions
with the contents of our courses
* Course material with careful descriptions
* Instruction videos
* Shop with CDs, course CD, timing CD, dance shoes, the sabrosa t-shirt with more
* Dance history
We also arrange fun dance parties and go out together to different salsaclubs during he courses (check out party photos in the photo gallery)

Info about the dance in the area, music, dance shoes, clothes, clubs, news, dance schools and companies and more?

How do I pay, prices and discount?

See Price & discount in the left menu

How many levels are there?

We give courses on all levels

I can already dance salsa. Can I start directly in a higher level?

Yes, you may! Register for the course that you think is best for you and if you whish to change after that is no problem. Even if you already are a good dancer, there is always things to learn in the basic course, so use the opportunity to dance several times a week according to Price & discount in the left menu

Can I regain a missed course day? What if I would like to dance several times a week? To dance in lower and parallel levels? To retake a course level?

Look under Price & discount in the left menu

How is the volume at the courses?

The volume of the music on the courses is relatively low. The instructors have to be able to make themslef heard without raising their voice and shout to much. If you feel that the volume is to loud please let us know. Even if the volume at salsa clubs is relativetly low compared to regulare clubs we recommend that you use earplogs when you go out dancing. We who work with dance can not risk our hearing and using earplugs is common for us

Who are the teachers?

You will find the teacher for each course in the courseschedule. For information about the teachers look under Teachers in the menu to the left
